Si sono svolte un giorno fa le premiazioni dei Video Music Awards (VMA) del 2023, e infatti già vediamo i numerosi articoli su Taylor Swift che manda baci a Damiano dei Maneskin (nessuno sa o comunque è interessato al suo cognome, così pare). Ma noi stasera parliamo dei nostri vincitori… Ma vi annuncio già che Taylor Swift non è solo colei che sta facendo parlare le testate italiane, ma anche colei che ha avuto più nomine, e se n’è andata con più vittorie. Insomma, sta letteralmente vivendo il suo momento.
I Video Music Awards (VMA) sono una cerimonia di premiazione musicale annuale organizzata da MTV, nati nel 1984 e rapidamente divenuti uno degli eventi più riconosciuti e influenti nell’industria musicale e nell’intrattenimento. I premi VMA vengono assegnati per i migliori video musicali dell’anno, in diverse categorie che coprono generi musicali diversi, come pop, rock, hip-hop, R&B e altri. I vincitori sono selezionati attraverso votazioni dai fan, professionisti dell’industria musicale e membri della giuria MTV.
Tra l’altro, per la prima volta dalla creazione della categoria “Artista dell’Anno” agli MTV VMAs nel 2017, tutti i candidati sono donne: Beyoncé, Doja Cat, Karol G, Nicki Minaj, Shakira e Taylor Swift. Questa edizione segna inoltre il debutto di due candidate provenienti dal mondo della musica latina. Nel corso dell’anno scorso, Bad Bunny è stato il primo artista latino a essere nominato e ha trionfato in questa stessa categoria.
Quest’anno i VMA si sono svolti martedì 12 settembre alle 20 (ora di New York) in diretta dal Prudential Center di Newark, in New Jersey. A condurre, anche quest’anno, è stata Nicki Minaj, che lo scorso anno è stato affiancata a Jack Harlow e LL Cool J. E quindi… ora vediamo i vincitori.
